*RWANDA - The central bank announces its latest decision on its repo rate
. *GHANA - Statistics office to release third quarter gross domestic product data, and producer price index data for November.
*KENYA - The central bank to auction 182-day, 364-day Treasury bills worth a total 12 billion shillings.
GLOBAL MARKETS
Asia stocks followed Wall Street higher on Wednesday, while
the dollar firmed against the yen following the release of
upbeat U.S. economic data overnight.
WORLD OIL PRICES
Oil prices edged down on Wednesday in quiet early Asian
trading as the market waits to see how OPEC and non-OPEC
members carry through on planned supply cuts in the new
year.

IVORY COAST COCOA
Cocoa arrivals at ports in top grower Ivory Coast totalled
around 783,000 tonnes by Dec. 25 since the start of the
season on Oct. 1, exporters estimated on Tuesday, up 8.15
percent from the 724,000 tonnes over the same period of the
previous season.[
MOZAMBIQUE POLITICS Mozambique's Renamo opposition party will cease all military operations against government forces for the next seven days to allow the public to enjoy New Year festivities, its leader Afonso Dhlakama said on Tuesday.
